The town has a wide selection of Indian restaurants in particular but also caters to more traditional tastes with some excellent French and Italian restaurants too. Having recently eaten in quite a few Sligo restaurants during a family holiday we were surprised at just how busy many restaurants in Sligo were so be sure to plan and book in advance if possible.

Restaurants in Rosses Point have gained a fine reputation for their food in recent years. The Waterfront Restaurant and Austies Restaurant and Bar are the best known and most frequented restaurants in Rosses Point. The village does also have a Chinese sit down or take away restaurant-The Rose Garden.

If you fancy a few glasses of wine during your meal any of your hosts will be happy to call you a taxi if you are not staying in Rosses Point. Fares are about €15 to Sligo Town.
