Restaurants in Skibbereen have a reputation for excellent food. There can be no greater evidence of the importance of good food in the area than by the town’s annual food festival. A high priority is placed on local produce while seafood is a specialty. Main Street, North Street and Bridge Street are the main areas in which restaurants can be found. Eateries of every variety are located in the town from coffee shops, to bistros, to Thai restaurants, to family-run restaurants. The local hotels also have fine eating areas.
